Vintage Edit – Notting Hill

Fashion

Notting Hill has always been known for its more distinguished edit of vintage shops. Whilst Portobello Road has always been a must visit for vintage lovers, Golborne Road is continuing to up the ante when it comes to vintage expression. Living in Notting Hill, I’ve seen new gems popping up whilst still revisiting long established troves, here is my edit of where to go when venturing West.

One Of A Kind

259 Portobello Road W11 1LR

This defines the term Treasure Trove – filled literally to the brim with furs, bags and jewellery you have to rummage through this vintage mecca to find your one of a kind. Don’t be fooled by the jumble sale layout of the shop, it is not cheap and the designer pieces come at a hefty price. Worth the rummage to find Chanel and Hermes.

293 Portobello Road

This vintage shop is only open on Friday and Saturday when it opens its doors to an array of affordable mens and women vintage. Sourced from all over Europe, this store houses an everyday wearable selection of pieces.

One Vintage

200 Kensington Park Road, W11 1NR onevintagedesigns.com

A twist on the usual vintage shop, One Vintage transforms whilst preserving antique textiles to create new and contemporary pieces. The result is not the usual fully stocked vintage affair, but a more slick edit of unique garments cleverly made by seamstress Marcelle Symons

Rellik

8 Golborne Road W10 5NW

Situated at the foot of Trellik Tower on Golborne Road, this infamous vintage boutique was opened by 3 previous market stall holders in 1999. Their stylish edit of mint condition vintage garments range from 1930’s pieces to present day one offs and include designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garcons, Alaia and Ossie Clark. This is the place to go to find that special and unique collectable piece to stand out amongst the rest in. Prices range from £30-£500

Found And Vision

This newish vintage store is soon becoming a celebrity favourite on the popular Golborne Road. With an eclectic mix of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s designer wear, it is the perfect place to find statement pieces from Dior, Missoni, Celine and Yves Saint Laurent. Prices range from £40-4000
