Personal style and fashion trends do not need to be abandoned when pregnant. You still want to enjoy fashion favourites whilst dressing the bump, whether that be buying larger sizes or the odd piece of maternity wear. Below are a selection of items that have helped me flatter my ever changing size and shape whilst not making me feel like I’ve abandoned my usual style.
Dresses
Zara comes to the rescue again. Everyones favourite high street brand’s Summer Collection was made for pregnant ladies – think floaty, and flatteringly shapeless dresses that hide a bump whilst still soaring high in the style stakes. Here are a few of my favourites…
Sneakers
Buying designer sneakers might seem a little OTT but for me I could justify it when falling pregnant – not only do you want to wear comfortable footwear throughout the whole of pregnancy but also afterwards when you will be spending hours pounding the pavements with the little one. It’s totally worth the investment. See Gucci, Valentino & Saint Laurent below
Jumpsuits
I didn’t expect to find great fitting jumpsuits to see me through pregnancy until I found Hatch. Combining comfort with clever tailoring, these jumpsuits are designed to be worn when your bump is at all sizes, and beyond.
Merino wool & cashmere jumpsuit
Hats
Protect yourself with high factor sun cream and a fabulous hat during hot months, these straw statement pieces will help keep you cool this Summer
Cover up
Take the focus off the bump with a great cover up, kimonos work as a great layer as well as injecting some colour in to a plain maternity dress.
Lingerie
With all the changes happening to the shape of your body, good intimates are essential. However, finding comfortable and stylish maternity lingerie is pretty hard. Look no further than Six. Using quality French leavers lace and Italian jerseys, the range has a minimal yet feminine look that flatters and enhances the female form as well supporting you through pregnancy and motherhood.

Maternity Jeans – H&M
There’s no getting away from it, maternity jeans are a must – that elasticated waistband is a saviour – and if like me you have a low bump, then look to H&M. The most comfortable by far.
Smart dresses
If you’re not hibernating during pregnancy and are keeping an active social life then look to this edit to dress yourself and the bump up in.
